About the wine
Picturesque and sunny landscapes of the Rhine Valley give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the German Weingut Knewitz conjures up this white wine with refinement and sensitivity. With this strong white wine 2016 — Chardonnay Réserve Rheinhessen, the term taste takes on a new meaning. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Chardonnay with poultry or goat cheese.

Tasting note
Aroma of ripe yellow fruits, nice woody notes. Monumental but very fine on the palate, acid power, lots of cool melt, chalky and mellow, white pears, apricots, honey-vanilla notes, flowers, lots of mouth-filling finesse and great dimension. It's very dry. Salty minerality despite the large volume... Very, very long in the aftertaste. Great burgundy vintage. Great aging potential. This wine is in no way inferior to many locations in Mersault! Brilliant price/pleasure ratio.

Gentle whole grape pressing, fermentation with the grape's own yeasts in barriques (30% new wood)
