About the wine

Pioneer Anton Kollwentz is considered one of the great personalities of new Austrian wine and a significant co-founder of the “wine miracle”. Now son Andreas is shining in his footsteps. And how! The modern winery in Grosshöflein has sensational wine locations. The vineyards are as “tailor-made” as if they had been tailored for the Vienna Opera Ball. And Andreas knows why: he is interested in nothing more than perfect, fully ripe harvest for his world-class wines. One of the most beautiful vineyards is located in an outstanding position on a hill, and this is where the wonderfully intense and balanced pure Chardonnay Gloria, one of the pillars of Kollwentz winemaking, comes from.

Tasting note
Spicy, intense nose of yellow fruits, fine yeast notes and toasted notes. Delicate acidity on the palate, mineral, very balanced and finely structured, dense and long on the palate. A delicacy that gets even better when ripe and is on par with much more expensive plants.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with white veal, rabbit and gitzi ragout. Also with grilled sea fish, crustaceans and mature alpine cheese.
Vinification
Fully ripe, healthy grapes are selectively harvested by hand Ageing: Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in Burgundy piéce, stirring up the fine yeast. The filling is carried out in April of the second year following the harvest.
