About the wine
One of these small ones - also available for sale! - Wonders from Côte des Bars, the long-overlooked south of Champagne. The Fleury first planted vines in 1894 after the phylloxera plague and began filling their own champagne as early as 1929, they have always been so beautifully different, wanted to leave the children a clean, healthy soil, i.e. without chemicals, and so they were already busy with biodynamics in the 1970s and in 1989 the first certified house in Champagne (today: 15 ha). The whole thing is neither zeitgeist nor marketing, but honestly from the heart, and this restraint, nobility and warmth - the base wines are completely or partially aged in small oak barrels - also characterize the Fleury champagnes, which, despite all their elegance and transparency, always have a warm soul, seem wise, no bling Bling champagne: great wines!
