About the wine
The plot of “Le Clos” at Domaine Louis Michel is just 50 acres small. And this is in turn divided into two: one was planted in 1967, the other in 2000. On average, the vines are 40 years old. Only 3,000 bottles of this Grand Cru wine are produced annually.

Tasting note
Serve it between 12 and 14°C; it should be aired or carafed before tasting. At first glance, the Grand Cru Les Clos may appear strict and masculine. But it is actually very expressive on the palate, with dominant mineral aromas, complemented by notes of white pepper and nutmeg.

Vinification
No added yeast, long fermentation in temperature-controlled barrels. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation, maturing period of at least 18 months. In stainless steel tanks, with as little handling as possible. Long moderately cold stabilization. Before bottling, the wine is gently filtered.
