About the wine

The Societá Agricola Fay was founded in 1973 by Sandro Fay. Since 1998, Sandro has been accompanied by his children Marco and Elena. Sandro Fay's 15 hectares of vineyards are located in Valtellina, the Nebbiolo area of the Alps. Valtellina is the largest, contiguous area of terraced vineyards in Italy. The indigenous Nebbiolo grape variety grown here is locally called Chiavennasca and grows at an altitude of between 350 and 900 meters. Sandro Fay is very small and produces outstanding filigree, classic and complex Nebbioli, which impressively reflect the special altitude and the unique silty, sandy terroir around the town of Valgella.
