About the wine

Catalonia is a well-known region in northeastern Spain. Catalans are the driving force and biggest innovators in Spanish viticulture. They were the first to produce sparkling wine using the champagne method in Penedès — cava still plays an important role here today. In this large wine region, you can find all the microclimates you can imagine for winegrowing. On the coast, the sea provides freshness and moisture, while inland it is rather dry and hot. In addition, mountain ranges with their ranges of hills and escarpments produce many exceptional terroirs, especially on limestone and clay soils. These natural conditions, combined with the inventive spirit of local winegrowers, create a wealth of great wines.
