About the wine
The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Podere Poggio Scalette conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the strong Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 — Capogatto Alta Valle della Greve IGT, nuances and accents are redefined. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a dining experience when you serve this Cabernet Sauvignon with Gruyère burgers or red meat.

Tasting note
Intense, almost black purple with purple reflections. Extremely tight in the nose and almost exploding. Dark, ripe fruit, lavishly scented jam, violet, cassis, black pepper, mocca and fine wood notes. Very complex on the palate, dark fruits, blackberries, exquisite wood aromas, cassis, cherries and vanilla. The tannins are very fine and supple. The aftertaste is very long and harmonious.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with an entrecote or grilled beef fillet.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand. After around 12 days of alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the young wine is aged in French barriques for 18 months. This is followed by bottling. The wine is then left to rest for at least 8 months before it goes on sale.
