About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Romaldo Greco absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the blooming and sunny countryside of Puglia. This strong Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — CANTICO Salento IGP is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! Tasting note
The Roccamora features a strong ruby with slightly purple reflections. On the nose, it is extremely spicy with aromas of dried figs, dark berries, sweet pipe tobacco and a touch of leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied and soft with lots of fruit and spice, a slightly nutty nuance, velvety tannins, a pleasant acid structure and a long-lasting finish with a very slight bitter note. A typical Negroamaro with lots of charm.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Italian specialties, risotto, pizza and pasta, grilled dishes.
Vinification
The grapes for this Negroamaro come from vines that are on average 20-25 years old, all grown in the Alberello system. The grapes are picked by hand and sorted again at the winery. After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months before maturing in the bottle for at least half a year.
