Cabernet Sauvignon Salento IGP 2022 - Tenuta Liliana

I would never have expected to have such a fresh, contemporary cabernet in the glass from Puglia. This is a terrific red wine, without the usual opulence and breadth of the South. Complex aromas of ripe, black mountain cherries, blackberry jelly, some cassis and dried figs, accompanied by tobacco, roasted Arabica coffee, white pepper and the finest bourbon vanilla. Plus subtle notes of pebble and graphite. Terrific palate, the tannins are masterful, fine-grained and ripe. The fruit is breathtaking, deep and noble, accompanied by complex aromas of oriental spices, sweet tobacco and delicate notes of graphite and lime. The cabernet ends persistently with elegance and length.
