About the wine
Ric Forman founded his winery in 1983 to fulfill his big dream of producing classic Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignon as sole owner. His model is Bordeaux. With constant personal commitment, he accompanies his wines from the grape to the maturation in the bottle.

Tasting note
Deep ruby red, aromas of tobacco and ripe berry marmalade harmonize wonderfully with vanilla, smoky oak, thyme, cherries and leather. Outstanding tannin structure, silky, yet gripping and powerful. The multi-faceted aromas are reflected in the taste and are surrounded by a mouth-filling, delicious, powerful finish.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Cabernet Sauvignon Napa goes well with Gruyère burgers, pizza with mushrooms and red meat. Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 15°-18°C. The following period is the ideal phase of enjoyment for this wine: 2016 - 2031.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the selected grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 20 to 30 days. The wine is aged in new French barriques for 22 months (70% new wood, 30% two-year wood) before the wine is bottled unembellished and unfiltered.
