Tasting note
The new red wine from the Merus line! This garnet red, purple-nuanced Cabernet Merlot offers a fine and complex bouquet of blackberries, dried fruits and blackcurrants. With pleasant acidity and soft tannin, it is round and supple on the palate and is harmonious and persistent on the finish. It has good aging potential and is a real price-performance miracle!
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with red meat, game dishes, lamb chops and hard cheeses. It is also an ideal accompaniment to pasta with strong sauces or spicy vegetarian dishes.
Vinification
After maceration in a concrete tank, the wine is aged for ten months with biological acid degradation of 50% in large and small oak barrels. The assemblage then rests in a concrete container for a further two months until bottling and then matures in the bottle for another four months.
