About the wine
The Cabanon comes from the new, ultra-modern winery run by Bordeaux experts Jean-Luc Thunevin and Jean-Roger Calvet. For this wine, the two have selected the best plots of their rocky, mineral-rich vineyards with vines that are around 40 years old. The grapes were picked by hand and transformed into a full, velvety red wine that is shaped by the southern sun — a formidable wine with class!

Tasting note
Dark color with an opaque center. A beguiling fruit bouquet unfolds with aromas of plum compote, blackberry jam and a fine coffee toast. The palate flow is creamy and once again shows lots of primary fruit and the unique warmth of Roussillon. A pleasant interplay between fullness, personality and fine extract sweetness is noticeable, complemented by notes of cinnamon cherries and nut chocolate. Juicy down to the dark-berry finish.
Culinary recommendation
It is ideal with grilled, spiced fish, boeuf bourguignon, coq au vin, semi-hard cheese or mature soft cheese, lamb in herb crust, gigot or ratatouille gratin. It is also exciting in combination with grilled sea bass, lasagna à la Provençale, lamb stew and pepper steak.
