About the wine

Cantina del Ciabot writes over 125 years of history - in 1896 Giovanni, the founding father of the winery, bought the first vineyard. Today, the 5th generation is already working at the winery. The cantina is located in Farigliano, 18 km south of Barolo. The vineyards stretch from the Dogliani area to Roero. The winery cultivates a wide variety of traditional and international grape varieties. As a result, the idea of trying out new wine creations has matured over the years. A gamble for the region, Piedmont is synonymous with single-variety wines. Cantina del Ciabot is breaking new ground with its Superpiemontesers, who were inspired by the Supertuscans. They want to set modern standards for the region and combine the special features of local vines with international classics. The family's aim is to follow cultural and oenological change and transfer it to the Piedmontese wine world. They produce innovative as well as traditional wines that keep up with the times and match the trend in taste.
