About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Villa Girardi is absolutely proficient in his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the flourishing and fertile Veneto countryside. With the dominant Corvina 2013 — Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso Bure Alto DOC, nuances and accents are redefined. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Corvina with recent types of cheese or hearty meat dishes.

Tasting note
Dark, intense ruby red color. Aromatic nose with scent of ripe, dark berries and black cherries, but also spicy notes, licorice and mocca. Balanced on the palate, velvety tannins, full yet elegant body. Fruity and spicy aromas, juicy and long-lasting.

Vinification
Ripasso means “to happen again” in German. This means a technique to give wine more fullness and structure. After fermentation is complete, the unpressed grape skins from Amarone production are added to the young wine. There is another brief fermentation. The wine was then stored in large Slovenian wooden barrels for 18 months. This wine has a “Nomacorc Select Green” cone, which prevents cone flavor.
