About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2018, it is this outstanding Riesling 2017 — Buiten Blanc. Fertile and graceful landscapes of the coastal region give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the South African winery Buitenverwachting conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Riesling with Indian cuisine or Asian food.

Tasting note
This lively Sauvignon Blanc blend offers a mix of diverse fruit characters. Ripe gooseberries, green melon and notes of tropical fruits make Buiten Blanc a versatile companion.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with tuna, salmon or vegetarian dishes.
Vinification
The grapes for Buiten Blanc come from vineyards in Constantia, Durbanville and Somerset West. After harvesting, the grapes were macerated with the skin for 12 hours in steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation was then initiated with the aid of 5 yeast strains, which lasted approximately 21 days at 16° C. After pressing, the wine aged on the yeast before being bottled.
