About the wine
Even in the Middle Ages, the land of Azienda Vecchie Terre di Montefili was dedicated to viticulture, but it was only a quarter of a century ago that the current owner Roccaldo Accuti acquired it and set up a state-of-the-art wine press, with everything an oenologist could wish for. Despite modernity, it is clear to Acuti that quality is created in the vineyard and so it is not surprising that its vines are extremely densely planted and each vine only needs to ripen a small amount of grapes.

Tasting note
Bruno di Rocca is now one of the great Tuscan classics. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grapes are harvested separately, fermented spontaneously without the addition of yeasts. After blending, it is aged in oak barrels of 1000, 500 (tonneaux) and 230 (barriques) liters for 28 months. Bruno di Rocca, which consists of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, retains its entire breed and spice despite the warm climate thanks to Montefili's altitude, and easily manages to let its tannins mature perfectly.
