About the wine
The Casanova di Neri winery was founded in 1971 when Giovanni Neri acquired an extensive estate in the municipality of Montalcino and repeatedly expanded it to include the best locations. Casanova di Neri is the result of a creative and philosophical development to create a novel Brunello that reinterprets tradition. And the success of these wonderful wines speaks for itself.

Tasting note
Brunello di Montalcino 2021 has an intense nose of cherries, walberries and violets, plus dried herbs and freshly ground spices. Powerful and full-bodied on the palate with the finest tannins that are already well integrated. The aftertaste is complex and long-lasting with lots of fruit and delicate spicy notes.

Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG passt bestens zu Rindfleisch, Lamm und Pizza.
Vinification
The manual harvest took place from mid-September to the first week of October. The selected grapes were destemmed and fermented with natural yeasts in steel tanks for approx. 25 days. The pomace hat was regularly wetted from above so that it does not dry out. It was then gently pressed and the wine aged for 43 months in French barriques. During this time, biological acid degradation took place. After bottling, the wine aged for a further six months before being released for sale.
