About the wine
The calcareous, shale soils in Burgundy form the breeding ground for this Chardonnay. The winemaker from the French winery Domaine Chavy-Chouet knows how to use them and delights us with this white wine. The dominant Chardonnay 2017 — Bourgogne Blanc Les Femelottes is the missing puzzle piece on your wine rack. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Chardonnay with soft cheese or asparagus.

Tasting note
Gold-coloured in the glass, the wine looks like a small Puligny. Although only a “Bourgogne”, the “Les Femelottes” is convincing in every respect. The plot is just 3 meters from Puligny-Montrachet and you can tell that. Elegant bouquet of citrus fruits and very light toasted notes. Fine, ripe acid structure and floral aromas are accompanied by a harmonious finish. Probably one of the best bourgogne blanc that you can buy for that money.

Vinification
The vines grow on loamy sandy soils. After careful harvesting, the wine ages for 10 months in used barrique barrels, 10% new barrels.
