About the wine
The grapes for this wine come from the Blosenberg vineyard, directly adjacent to the Grand Cru Kanzlerberg. A cool valley wind from Thannenkirch ensures fresh conditions and dry grapes here. The western orientation brings evening sun and thus a longer aging period on the vine, which gives the wine freshness and depth. The distinctive minerality comes from calcareous soil, traversed by barite and fluorite crystals, as well as from marl and sedimentary rock.

Tasting note
Sparkling yellow On the nose, aromas of peach and yellow fruits. Well structured and creamy in the mouth. A great wine of high complexity and beautifully balanced acidity with very high storage potential.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with poultry in creamy sauces, veal stew, fried porcini mushrooms, Asian-spiced dishes or strong soft cheeses such as Munster or Brie de Meaux. It is also a real treat with autumn vegetable dishes.
Vinification
The Blosenberg is spontaneously fermented and aged on fine yeast for 8 months. With 4.8 g residual sugar per liter, this Pinot Gris is dry-aged.
