Tasting note
A prime example of the modern Penfolds Chardonnay style, which lives up to the nickname “Baby Yattarna.” On the nose, subtle white stone fruit, lime and lemon. Plenty of weight on the palate. Honeydew melon, white peach, cashew and nougat determine the flavor profile. There is a characteristic minerality that is supported by a soft acid. The phenols are easy to grip and structured and blend seamlessly with the fine-grained French oak. It drinks very well now, but will also last a decade or longer if you like a more developed expression of the grape variety.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The white wine tastes best at slightly chilled 10°-12°C. Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes well with truffles, fish with herbs and poultry.
