About the wine
Bilo Idro is the name of the small restaurant and wine bar from Zlatan Otok, located in your home village on the island of Hvar. This 100% Plavac is a bit lighter in body than other Plavacs, but stylistically still a Zlatan Plavac! A bright and fresh Plavac with notes of dark red cherries, small blueberries, subtle earthiness and soft tannins. Hand harvest followed by an 8-day maceration on the skin in stainless steel tanks, with fermentation carried out by local/natural yeasts. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for 18 months. After maturing in the tanks, the wine is roughly polished, not filtered.

Goes well with cold platters or sausage cheese.

Only Plavac Mali grapes are used for classic wine from Dalmatia. Vinification of the mash in steel tanks. The wine is then aged for one year in large Slavonian oak barrels
