About the wine
This wine has a unique story. The first vintage to be produced was in 2008, when almost all grapes were affected by a late downy mildew attack. The harvest was one of the leanest the company recorded, and Dario opted for a unique vinification: all usable fruits from the harvest were macerated on the skins in a single barrel for one month, followed by a maturation period of 3 years. The result was unbelievable, a wine with great effect and an unexpected character. A terrible year was transformed into a true 'fairy tale'.
