Tasting note
The wine grows on volcanic soil, whose terroir is reflected in the wine with great force. Very expressive and complex even in the nose. Ripe, intense cherry notes, black fruit, underlined with slightly rustic tones of tar, wood and mocha. Very good and well-structured on the palate. A strong wine that shows a lot of authenticity. Long and rich in the aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty dishes such as ossobuco or spicy lasagna al forno.
Vinification
The indigenous Aglianico grape variety is used for the typical wine of this area. Harvesting is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 20 months in large oak barrels and a further 8 months in the bottle.
