About the wine

In the 1970s, Andrea took over the then tiny business, started bottling her own wine back in 1978 and, with a keen sense and patience, acquired excellent sites in La Morra, Alba, Barolo and Cherasco over the decades and expanded the family business to over 16 ha. In recent years in particular, father Andrea and son Fabio have established themselves at the top of Piedmont. From Dolcetto to Barolo, it rained down prizes and awards. Fabio is now directing himself under the label “La Collina di Dionisio” and continues to delight us year after year with these beautiful Piedmontese people. Outstanding wines with noble soul and inner beauty! World-class at decent prices!

Tasting note
The old family, the dignity and nobility consolidated in the succession of generations, that is also the dimension and breadth in which everything appears here, appears in everything very calm and balanced, restrained fine, the delicate light, red, fruit, also cherry, the noble and distinguished ethereal freshness, with all with warm affection, no elitist coolness or harshness, but with benevolent discretion and harmony, finely woven Ash, earth, leather, moist wood with sweet notes. On the palate, this outer and inner beauty, the nobility in form and character, everything very gentle, the fine fruit, the noble freshness, the references, licorice, this wonderful peace of elegance, the melt-in-the-mouth tannins. A wine that is even more beautiful and noble and balanced than this description can show!
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes great with prosciutto, beef and pizza.
Vinification
Very selective reading selection by hand. Temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks, fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts. Ageing and aging for 2 years in large oak barrels, two months in stainless steel tanks and finally 6 months in bottle.
