About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Beni di Batasiolo is absolutely proficient in his craft. Tasting note
Medium garnet red with a slightly brightening edge. Ripe, intense scent of dried fruits, compote, rose and violet blossoms. On the palate, a fine start with interesting complexity, good concentration and smooth tannins. Aromas of dried fruits and red cherries with a fine spice. It is very balanced with good length.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with mushroom risotto or roast beef with red wine sauce.
Vinification
Only a selection of high-quality Nebbiolo grapes from the municipality of Barolo are used for this riserva. After harvesting, the grapes are gently crushed and fermented as a mash. The young wine ages for three years in large Slavonian oak barrels and then in the bottle for a further two years.
