About the wine
The blooming and fertile landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Michele Chiarlo conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the outstanding Nebbiolo 2012 — Barolo DOCG Cerequio, nuances and accents are redefined. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a dining experience when you serve this Nebbiolo with truffle risotto or pizza.

Tasting note
This Barolo has a deep garnet red and a complex bouquet of violets, roses and dark cherries, accompanied by spicy notes such as licorice, tobacco and a touch of truffle. On the palate, it is powerful and elegant, with a perfect balance between ripe fruit, fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. The long finish is characterized by mineral nuances and an impressive depth.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with braised game, beef tenderloin, truffle dishes or aged hard cheese.
Vinification
The grapes come from the renowned Cerequio vineyard, one of the most prestigious locations in the Barolo area. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in large oak barrels for at least 24 months.
