About the wine
Castiglione Falletto is a small village in the middle of the best wine-growing areas of the Langhe. The Vietti family's winery is located right next to the castle of Castiglione. Luca Currado and Mario Cordero have expanded their cellar and brought it up to date technically. Luca, the graduate oenologist, gained experience at well-known wineries such as Mouton-Rothschild and Opus One. In addition to the classic wines Barbaresco, Barbera d`Alba, Barbera d`Asti, Moscato d`Asti and Arneis, the Barolo vineyards Rocche, Brunate, Lazzarito and Villero are cultivated with great success.

Tasting note
Dense bouquet of dried apricots and fragrant spices, violets and lilacs, broad and demanding, the palate is rounded off with lots of ripe tannin, a compact flow and with enormous potential in the finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty, dark meat dishes of beef, lamb, deer, as well as mushroom dishes and truffles.
Vinification
Grapes from a variety of cru sites in the various municipalities throughout the Barolo region. Average age of the vines 10 — 45 years. Lime marl soils, with different lime tones depending on the location. The grapes picked by hand are vinified and aged individually — sites, plots. Biological acid degradation in used barriques, after which the wines, still separated according to their origin, are aged in large wooden barrels, and to a smaller extent in barriques, for approximately 30 months, after which the final blending of the wine takes place. The wine is neither refined nor filtered before bottling.
