About the wine
Brovia is one of the best Barolo producers in Piedmont and cultivates large individual vineyards such as Villero, Rocche di Castiglione and Garblét Sue. These Nebbiolo plants are characterized by high quality, unique elegance, strong character and great ripening potential.
Tasting note
Ruby red, the nose has seductive notes of plums, cherries and dark wild berries, which are accompanied by some undersoil as well as nutmeg, pepper and herbal notes. The palate in this Barolo is full of grip, ripe tannins and juicy acidity. The aftertaste is very long-lasting with aromas of cherries and mountain herbs.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lamb, game, braised meat dishes or aged cheese.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation for 15 to 20 days on the mash at a maximum of 28°C. Then classic aging in French wooden barrels (30 hl) for two years. Filling without filtration and subsequent bottle aging under optimal conditions.
