About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this outstanding Nebbiolo 2018 Barbaresco Sorì Paitin Serraboella DOP. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Pasquero Elia masters this red wine in the fertile and sunny countryside of Piedmont. Tasting note
The ancestors of the current generation Pasquero Elia were among the first producers to send Barbaresco wine to London and New York to experienced restaurant owners in the 19th century. The wine doesn't have to have been that good and neither does the price, because no one took care of the family property for a long time and the Sorì Paitin lay down until more recent times, when father Pasquero Elia went to work with renewed vigour and built up a first-rate winery step by step, soon supported by his two sons Giovanni and Silvano. The flagship Barbaresco Sorì Paitin, the result of the smallest yields and organic vine farming, combines proud power with aromatic fineness and harmonious richness
