Tasting note
In the glass, this wine shines in a strong ruby red with purple reflections. The nose enjoys complex aromas of ripe wild fruits - in particular blueberries, blackberries and blueberries - accompanied by hints of vanilla and precious wood. On the palate, this Italian red wine has a full body with a wonderfully elegant tannin structure. The finish is pleasantly long and is accompanied by vanilla tones.
Culinary recommendation
Roast beef in dark sauce with onions, wild boar ragout with spaetzle or even with aged cheeses.
Vinification
After carefully harvesting the Barbera grapes by hand, they are carefully selected and crushed in the wine cellar. Traditionally, the mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks. After the fermentation process is complete, this wine ages in barriques for a total of 18 months. When stored in wooden barrels, this wine gains its strong color, intense aromas and elegant tannins.
