About the wine
With the outstanding Nebbiolo 2014 — Arte Langhe Rosso DOP wooden box, nuances and accents are redefined. With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Domenico Clerico masters this red wine in the picturesque and sunny countryside of Piedmont. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Nebbiolo with burrata or prosciutto.

Tasting note
Arte is a blend of 90 percent Nebbiolo and 10 percent Barbera. With its high Nebbiolo content, the bouquet is reminiscent of a Barolo: wild roses, blackberries, tobacco, graphite and turbulent soil. On the palate, the Arte is expansive and impressively dense. The finish is dominated by the intensity that gives it the potential of a vin de garde. The Nebbiolo grapes come from younger vines from the Pajana, Ginestra and Mosconi vineyards. The yield is 5500 kilograms per hectare. The Barbera grapes come from vines that are on average 40 years old. The two varieties are pressed separately in a rotor tank, the Barbera 10 to 12 days, the Nebbiolo a little longer. The wines are aged in new French barriques for 16 to 18 months. Production: 4500 bottles.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lamb, beef, veal, venison, pork, grilled meat.
Vinification
Angaben über Vinifizierung: Der Ertrag liegt bei 5500 Kilogramm pro Hektare. Die Barbera-Trauben stammen von durchschnittlich 40-jährigen Stöcken. Die beiden Sorten werden separat im Rotortank gekeltert, der Barbera 10 bis 12 Tage, der Nebbiolo etwas länger. Ausgebaut werden die Weine 16 bis 18 Monate in neuen französischen Barriques. Produktion: 4500 Flaschen.
