About the wine
With courage, with a location (14 ha, La Pinte à la Capitaine) and a grape variety (Savagnin), Roger Martin started in 1953 in Arbois, the center of viticulture in the Jura. And it continued so courageously under son Piere Martin, who expanded to 34 ha and switched to biodynamic viticulture in 2009. You smell it, you taste it. Bewitching wines that have enough of everything, of nothing too much, and that certain something: finesse, aroma, structure, harmony, and: character. Every wine is a discovery, great soloists and food companions. Extraordinary, outstanding natural wines, no beasts, untamed beauties!

Tasting note
March through the institutions this is not a conformist, not an ass through the institution, he goes his way firmly and decisively, more level-headed, milder, whiter, and yet it has the aura of something special, the bright, mild fruit of a relaxed, seasoned maturity, soft and with a charming spiciness. On the palate, this calm, wise clarity in combination with this independent spiciness, a hint of licorice, ash, this fresh, rather dark minerality, runs through the ripe, calm, light to orange, at the end, mild, almost creamy fruit. Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Fermentation with vineyard's own yeasts in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation, aging and maturation in large and small oak barrels for at least 36 months.
