About the wine
The grapes come from vines that are more than 25 years old and grown as “Alberello” (trees). Shortly before coloring, a few grapes are removed from each hive in order to limit the yield to 70hl/ha (approx. 900 g per m2). The Càntele family founded the company in 1979. With constant quality research, Augusto Càntele as oenologist and Nico Càntele as administrative director for the company have achieved an important position among the wineries and wineries of Salento.
Tasting note
Strong dark ruby red. The bouquet contains a cornucopia of scents: aged figs, plum compote, cinnamon, vanilla and toast. Powerful, full and fiery in the mouth, long fruit finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with leg of lamb, venison, wild boar, roast beef or grilled meat.
