About the wine
St. Michael-Eppan is a cooperative consisting of 350 winegrowers and is one of the largest and most successful wineries in South Tyrol. Despite its size, quality has been paramount since it was founded in 1907, which is why it is also one of the best winegrowers' cooperatives in the world today. The outstanding oenologist Hans Terzer has been managing the winery since 1977.

Tasting note
Color: Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections Nose: Elegant and complex, with aromatic notes of exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple and grapefruit, enriched by herbal nuances and a slight hint of green pepper. It also presents delicate nuances of elderflowers and flint, typical of the South Tyrolean terroir. Taste: On the palate, it is fresh and lively, characterized by a distinctive minerality and a balanced structure. The sour freshness is accompanied by good persistence, with an aftertaste reminiscent of fruity notes and a slightly spicy and lemony finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish and shellfish dishes, sushi, tuna or salmon tartare and light vegetable-based first courses. It also goes well with fresh cheeses and seafood appetizers, making it ideal for sophisticated and light meals.
Vinification
The grapes harvested by hand are gently pressed and vinified with fermentation at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged on the yeasts for several months, improving complexity and structure before being bottled.
