The ancient variety can hardly be found anymore, perhaps because it is demanding and irregular in yield. The Aleatico develops a wonderful richness of aromas, reminiscent of dry fruits and exotic spices. On the palate, there is a well-balanced acidity with subtle tannins and elegant, juicy sweetness.
