About the wine
Fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Mormoraia conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this powerful Shiraz 2015 — Agrios Syrah Rosso IGT! Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This shiraz is very good to serve with game or barbecues.
Tasting note
All Mormoraia wines are straightforward, aromatic Cleanliness and — in the case of pure varieties — the expression of peculiar to each grape. The berries are prepared before fermentation Cold macerated for three days. The one-week fermentation takes place in steel tanks. For the six-month expansion wooden barrels of different sizes are used. Syrah has a strong aromatic presence with berry and slightly spicy notes. The palate are characterized by soft melt and fruity acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lamb, beef, veal, venison, pork, grilled meat.
Vinification
Ein paar Worte zur Vinifikation: Allen Mormoraia-Weinen sind Geradlinigkeit, aromatische Sauberkeit und – bei den reinsortigen – der Ausdruck der jeweiligen Traube eigen. Die Beeren werden vor der Gärung während dreier Tage kaltmazeriert. Die einwöchige Gärung findet im Stahltank statt. Für den sechsmonatigen Ausbau kommen Holzfässer unterschiedlicher Grössen zum Einsatz.
