About the wine
Carlos de Pedro Manso, who worked in the wine trade for 30 years, made his dream come true in 2004 together with Jesús Asenjo. In the village of La Horra in the heart of the Ribera del Duero growing region, which has just under 400 inhabitants, they cultivate 40 hectares of vines that are up to 100 years old. The growing season is about 110 days short due to the long and cold winters down to minus 18 degrees. Every move must be right and the timing must be perfect. Nevertheless, extensive management is carried out with low yields, manual harvesting and selection and a largely ecological approach.

Tasting note
Dense, impermeable garnet Plum compote and gingerbread in the complex nose, currant chocolate and caramelized tree nuts behind it, radiating world-class even in the nose. Velvety texture on the creamy, full palate, round tannins and dessert-like extract, coffee chocolate and plum cake in the seductive middle, perfect balance at the highest level, combined Tempranillo melt and Ribera classic, lingering endlessly.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty meat dishes such as beef tenderloin, game and lamb. It also develops its full power and complexity with aged cheese or a juicy BBQ.

16 months in French barriques.
