About the wine
With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Elio Filippino masters this red wine in the sunny and picturesque countryside of Piedmont. If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it is this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 4 Amis Langhe DOC. Tasting note
In the glass, this wine glows in a strong ruby red color with purple highlights. The bouquet is characterized by aromas of ripe plums, fresh blackberries - underpinned by subtle notes of paprika. On the palate, this red wine reveals its full complexity - the aromas of the nose harmonize perfectly with the well-structured body and soft tannins. The finale offers length, elegance and delicate fruity nuances.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roast dishes with vegetable garnish, wild boar stew or even aged cheeses. But this wine is also a real treat solo.
Vinification
After carefully harvesting the four different grapes by hand, they are selected and crushed in the wine cellar. The mash is then fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The strong color, the expressive aroma profile and the soft tannin structure are ensured by the wood aging for a total of 18 months in French oak barrels.
