Zweigelt Rusterberg 2024 - Heidi Schröck

The “winegrower in Rust”, as Heidi Schröck calls herself with charm and modest simplicity, is one of Austria's wine celebrities, including a title as “Winemaker of the Year” by the wine magazine “Falstaff”. The Burgenland vineyards located on Lake Neusiedl are blessed with a mild climate, so a variety of specialities grow here. Zweigelt is the most common type of red wine in Austria and also has very good conditions in Rust and the surrounding area. Classically aged and bottled the year after harvesting, it develops its fruit and its variety of aromas after just a few months. Even as a “young savage”, it is a lot of drinking fun and goes wonderfully with game from local forests.
