About the wine

Hans Nittnaus is a thought leader, a visionary, and a gifted winemaker. Anita and Hans run the 30-hectare winery biodynamically, the wines are full of life, extremely precise and completely unvarnished, also thanks to the very careful use of wood and the very moderate extraction. His son Martin goes even further in the direction of minimal intervention. This is where fining, filtering, and even added sulfur are questioned. At Nittnaus, they are never completely satisfied, always looking for the perfect interpretation of the terroir - and so often they find what they are looking for! Zig-fach and highly decorated with international awards - and also a winemaker and winery of hearts!

Tasting note
Rose - thorns in a colorful dress. He enjoys pricking and stinging, he swims against the tide with a smile, challenges - and introduces. Wonderfully provocative yet good-natured: the bright red fruit is sour-fresh and yet slightly oxidatively relaxed, as piquantly spicy as it has been washed out. On the palate, it comes across as outrageously casual and rocks, where otherwise people often mope, between red and white, he plays with the colors: The fruit somewhere and everywhere between light, orange and red, it crackles: zesty ethereal spice and tart, tingling freshness, it triggers something, it challenges normal rosé with its unconventional luck, damn anarchic fun in the glass.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Direct pressing, spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks, no fining, no filtration, minimal sulphurization.
