About the wine
De Loach Vineyards has been a pioneering producer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel in the Russian river valley since 1975. As a wine-growing region, the Russian River Valley is known as “America's Burgundy,” an award in which De Loach played an important role. The estate's vineyards and garden are certified organic and biodynamic, and traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques are used in the cellar, such as open-top wood fermenter, fermentation with local yeast. The winery is part of Boisset.

Tasting note
Ruby red in the glass, California Zinfandel shows exhilarating spicy aromas and flavors of sour cherries, raspberries and currants.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with charcoal grilled pizza or pasta with red meat or mushroom sauce.
Vinification
Selected old and new Zinfandel vines were blended to develop a complex, fruity wine before aging in mainly stainless steel tanks. A small part of the wine was aged in old American and Hungarian oak barrels to give the wine a slight oak character.
