About the wine

Over 130 years of tradition. A brief history: In 1874, Johannes Schwob founded the wine shop at Kasernenstraße 25 in Liestal. The company has been run by the family for generations, most recently by Paul Schwob. In 1952, the own winery was incorporated, including viticulture, bottling and distillery. In 1972, the company became the property of the “Paul Schwob Foundation.” In 1987, the shop opened and since then, “Siebe-Dupf” became the all-encompassing company name. In 2002, the traditional house was renovated and rebuilt. In 2006, two independent Basel provider entrepreneurs took over the Siebe Dupf Kellerei AG

Tasting note
Wintersingen is one of Basel's best-known winegrowing villages and has more than 8 hectares of vineyards - primarily planted with Blauburgunder - which grow excellently in an excellent climate. The wine is consistently successful thanks to its name and its excellent quality: delicate fruit, rich in finesse, elegant and digestible.

With light meat dishes, vegetarian cuisine, z'vieriplättli, cheese
Vinification
After harvesting, the grapes are carefully pressed in the winery in Liestal and fermented in modern temperature-controlled fermentation tanks after a maceration period. The expansion takes place in steel tanks.
