Tasting note
Dark red to purple color. On the nose, roasted notes combined with aromas of black fruits. Powerful on the palate, spicy with fine tannins and fine barrique notes. Powerful, elegant and long-lasting on the aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with game and wild fowl, hearty dishes with dark meat, spicy soft and hard cheeses.
Vinification
The grapes for St. Laurent come from the top red wine region of Altenberg. After the three-week maceration period, the Altenberg is aged for 14 months in barriques (40% new ones).
