About the wine
Impressive aromas of dark berries, cherries and delicate spicy notes. On the palate, full-bodied, powerful and elegant with velvety tannins and a long, harmonious finish. A characteristic South Tyrolean red wine with aging potential.
Tasting note
Fine notes, from the floral scent of violets to the fruity scent of blueberries and blackcurrants, impressive on the palate with the typical tart nuances, well structured, full and velvety, with a hint of bitter cocoa and, above all, delightful wild fruit aromas
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hard cheese, hearty sandwiches and hearty game dishes.
Vinification
After harvesting by hand, the grapes are delivered in small containers. Mash fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels at a controlled temperature of 28°C, followed by acid degradation. The aging takes place in barriques for 12 months and in concrete barrels for a further 6 months. After bottling, the wine is stored in the bottle for at least another 6 months.
