Tasting note
The Trosset de l'Adolf was made entirely from very old “Carinyena” vines, which were planted in 1930 at 450 m above sea level. As soon as it is poured, the wine exudes a very intense scent of spicy and fruity aromas, which is reminiscent of a summer walk in the forest: scents of wild berries, moss, mint, noble mushrooms, damp stones, some game and a pepper mill. Cooked fruit aromas of plums, dried dates, dry garrique herbs and tea roses are added. The fragrance and flavor fan is very complex and continues to unfold with ventilation. On the palate, l'Adolf is characterized by its spiciness and warming juiciness. It is velvety and the aroma is reminiscent of noble cedar wood, Mediterranean herbs, balsamic notes and ripe black fruits. We recommend decanting the wine approx. 1 hour before consumption.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best with a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. Flaschenpost team tip: Trosset de l'Adolf goes perfectly with turkey, duck and strong lamb stew.
