About the wine
Trnjak was named after the homonymous municipality in Bosnia & Herzegovina near Mostar. The medium to late ripening vine produces intensely ruby-red, alcohol-rich red wines. On the nose, intense aromas of cherry, dark berries and a touch of Mediterranean herbs. Powerful, spicy and with a fine tannin structure on the palate — authentic, lively and unmistakable. Trnjak is grown exclusively in the Dalmatian hinterland and in Herzegovina.

Exceptional aroma profile of currants, plums, cherries, pomegranates, violets, balsamic chocolate and mint. Rich red wine with intense spice and power paired with perfect tanine and acid structure.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal accompaniment to dark meat dishes, game, hearty stews or grilled meat.
Vinification
After harvesting, the grapes are fermented in steel tanks for around 15 days. Biological acid degradation takes place at the same time. The wine is then refined in French oak barriques for 12 months.
