About the product

The GlenDronach is kept in true Highland style: a heavy and robust brand, perfect for a long aging period in sherry casks. At The GlenDronach Distillery, the tradition of its founder James Allardice has continued since 1826 by aging their whiskey in the best Spanish Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry barrels. The distillery is constantly striving to improve the art of sherry cask aging. Their Highland Whiskies are known for their deep colors and rich flavor profiles. They owe the sweet-fruity aromas to Pedro Ximénez barrels, the dry-nutty notes to the excellent Oloroso barrels. Their well-kept secrets have been guarded for almost 200 years by a band of crows who love The GlenDronach so much that they try to nest in the warehouses. The distillery staff believe the whiskey will be good as long as the crows stay in the distillery.

Tasting note
Sweet & creamy. This rich single malt is aged for at least 12 years in a combination of the best Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. Not coolly filtered, of natural color and bottled at 43%, the GlenDronach 12 years old Original is a sweet, creamy dram.
