Fertile and picturesque landscapes in Sardinia give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Unmaredivino conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. We have a special, distinctive white wine from 2016 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Tasting note
This bright straw yellow Vermentino delights the nose with aromas of citrus fruits, white peach, apple, yellow flowers and slightly zesty notes. On the palate, it is extremely fresh and juicy with lots of yellow fruit, floral accents and a slight saltiness. The finish is long-lasting and characterized by strong minerality. A wonderfully refreshing white wine that is at its best both as an aperitif and with fish and seafood.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect as an aperitif, but also with simple dishes such as spaghetti with tomato and basil or ai frutti di mare. Great with sushi, seafood, light fish dishes, vegetable wraps, and goat and cow cheese.
Vinification
The Vermentino vines for this white wine were planted in 2008 and grow on barren granite soils at 250-400 meters above sea level. After manual harvesting, the grapes are first cooled in a cold room for 24-48 hours before they are destemmed and cold macerated for about 2 days. This is to preserve the fruit aroma of the grapes. The temperature-controlled fermentation and aging on fine yeast for several months then take place in steel tanks.
