Tasting note
The secret of Salvatore Molettieri's wines is very simple: They are the best vineyards at high altitude on Montemarano, exact handwork in the vineyard, great care in the cellar. Thanks to the altitude, the growing season is lengthy, starts early in spring and usually only ends in November. Especially in southern regions, long growing seasons mean rich but particularly balanced grapes and wines at the end. The aging takes place in large oak barrels and barriques. Taurasi Renonno is powerful, rich in extracts and yet extremely elegant; on the palate, with soft, perfectly integrated tannins, it is soft and juicy.
