Tasting note
The Chardonnay Schlossberg shows flattering Burgundy fruit. A nice note of melon captivates the nose. Then come mango, ripe pears and fine roasted aromas. On the dorm, it shows precise acidity and race and gripping drinking animation.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with poultry dishes — from white meats such as chicken breast or dung scrapers to more intensive varieties such as turkey, quail and so on.
Vinification
In the south-west location surrounded by the Black Forest, the vines grow on weathered granite soils. It is an Ortenau type, because Chardonnay cannot deny the granite. The aging in 1,200 liter wooden barrel gives a nice harmonious finish.
